'Āina Iki Ranch
Serving Mama Gaia
Sharing Her Wisdom
Welcome to ʻĀina Iki Ranch, a two-acre working farm-ranch and animal sanctuary on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. Nestled in the Kapoho kīpuka—a landscape reshaped by the 2018 Kīlauea eruption—our little piece of Puna sits among ancient lava flows, fertile soils, and a remarkable abundance of life.
ʻĀina Iki is devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of compromised farm and companion animals. Alongside caring for our animals, we cultivate food, practice regenerative stewardship, and care for the ʻāina that sustains us.
Through hands-on learning, community connection, and the lessons we share from everyday life on the ranch, we hope to strengthen local food security, encourage responsible stewardship, and help build a more resilient Puna.
Here, we hold sanctuary for life in all its forms—animals and plants, great and small—honoring Mama Gaia and sharing her wisdom with joyful hearts.
Help This Work Grow
What happens on our little piece of ʻāina is made possible by a community that believes in caring for animals, growing food, stewarding the land, and sharing what we learn along the way.
Through our partnership with Puna Community Action Network (PunaCAN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your support helps advance food security, responsible stewardship of ʻāina, community education, animal care, and collective resilience here in Puna.
Together, we can keep growing something good. ❤️
Our rescue ranch is dedicated to caring for and rehabilitating vulnerable farm and companion animals. Every contribution helps. Virtually adopt an animal today and receive regular updates on their daily life.

AIR rescued six abandoned ducks six years ago. Today we care for nearly six flocks, and they produce the most beautiful eggs. Sign up below to receive regular egg bounties!
Farm Fresh Eggs
‘Āina Iki Ranch homes 30 goats of various breeds, sizes, and ages — and they all share one habit: daily fertilizer distribution. We love our Goatie Gold, and your plants will too!
